Great Transmission cooler : Hayden Automotive 678 Rapid-Cool Plate and Fin Transmission Cooler
I purchased this cooler and installed it on a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. I am towing a 4000 pound, 23' travel trailer and wanted to protect the transmission from heat related damage. I also changed the transmission fluid and filter at the same time. I am very pleased with this cooler. I mounted it in front of the A/C condensor, in series after the factory radiator transmission cooler. The installation was fairly easy using the special fitting purchased separately and the hose and clamps supplied. It took me about 3 hours to do the whole job. My first tow was through Texas where the temperature was over 100 every day, often at 107. The cooler kept the transmission working perfectly, and the truck never overheated. Furthermore the A/C worked great, which had concerned me since I installed the cooler in front. I would recommend this cooler for towing anything where the combined vehicle weight is under 10,000 pounds.
